CASE
Ms. Aasha (name change) was 26 year old married women with 2 daughters of 9 and 6 year respectively, she had passed grade 5 and her husband passed grade 4 and they had love affair and married at the age of 14. Recently her husband is in Saudi Arabia, still she doesn’t have the citizenship and she is not engaging in any local community group and she don’t have any saving. She had faced different violence against her like her husband physically assault her , scold her, use vulgar words and sometime he tries to have sexual relation when she is not prepared and this happens usually when he use alcohol. This was happen before one year she can’t go to the market and for labor work in neighbor’s field. If he knew she had gone than he will scold her and beat her. “The issue of house remains within house” her husband assaults her and scolds her when she talks to other in cellphone and if she talks more about family issue. She don’t involve in discussion and decision as she don’t have any income. (26 year  Aasha Gurung)

Due to the conflict in the country, men are migrating for the employment and their wife are being luxurious they shifted toward the near city and her husband provides her with different facilities and those women use the cellphone to communicate with other guys and they contact to meet somewhere when children are at school and they have sexual relation and other sorts of entrainment and they share money and landed money to  those guys and they don’t return money and when husband returns from abroad than there occurs the conflict. In the context of Brahmin and Chhetri society women are dominated somehow but in the caste like Gurung, Magar they allow their wife to keep money and ask if needed. And in some cases there the wife had extra marital affair and they left the husband. In the case of school, government had provided dresses, copy, books for the Dalit girls and we don’t see violence in school. Till today no case of violence are registered in V.D.C. (Tanka Badhur Adhikari, V.D.C. Secretary, Thalajung, Gorkha)
